Laura’s Questions
  1. Would you rather have seven dogs, seven cats or seven birds as pets?

Easy! 7 dogs!!

2. What is your least favourite season and why?

Spring, because well, my birthday falls in Spring, and the season is just so beautiful and pleasant.

3. What have you discovered this year (e.g. great TV show, hidden talent, etc)?

I have discovered….new friends, right here on WordPress! It is a very special feeling to finally have friends with similar interests!!

4. Is there anything from 2020 that you’re going to miss? Anything at all?

Umm…no. Ok, maybe I am going to miss all the free time I have right now to read and blog, because once real school starts, I don’t think I would have this much time. Other than that, I am happy to see 2020 go.

5. What song describes your life right now?

I am not sure about ‘right now’, but A Head Full Of Dreams describes me and my life in general.

6. If you could turn yourself into an animal for an hour every day, which would it be?

No, thanks. I love animals, but I’d much rather stay human😂

7. Which fictional character would you love to move in with?

Can’t really think of one right now🤷‍♀️

8. Which book would you love to experience for the first time all over again?

All the books of Keeper Of The Lost Cities series! Those big reveals…just awesome!

9. Which show from your childhood would you love to see a reboot of?

I wasn’t much of a TV fan when was little, but I am still in my childhood in a way, so all the animated series I love now would also definitely be loved by me when I am older!

10. Would you rather be given your weight in gold or your weight in books?

If I get my weight in books, will it be books of my choice? If not, I’ll go with gold, and buy books of my choice with that gold 😉

11. If you could live anywhere in the world (fictional places included), where would you live?

There are so many places (fictional only!). Atlantis from KOTLC, Hogwarts from Harry Potter, Nevermoor from the Nevermoor series etc

  1. Which author would you like the most to interview?
  2. Do you prefer reading one book at a time or several?

3 things about me:

I am really good at memorizing lyrics of songs, sometimes I can learn all the lyrics even if I listen to the song only once, (English songs! Hindi lyrics are too tough) but I am not very good at singing.

I love animated movies and series – Boss Baby (the movie as well as the series), 3 Below, Trollhunters, The Emoji Movie, Over The Hedge, and of course Zootopia, are some of my all time favourites.

I don’t know how to cook. At all.

Riddhi’s Questions

1. What is one Christmas themed book you want to read this year?

The Miracle On Ebenezer Street. I have heard loads of good things about it and I so want to read it this Christmas, but I can’t find the book anywhere 😭

2. What is your fatal flaw?

Like Riddhi suggested, I took a quiz for this. Several of them actually. In one I got Selfishness, in another Curiosity (seriously? how is curiosity FATAL??) and in one I even got “you are an Other. You are a special person, and it is recommended you take another quiz” 😂😂

3. What is your Hogwarts house?

Ravenclaw. I think.

4. Who is your godly parent?

*rushes to google to take another quiz, or quizzes* Apollo!

5. Name three authors whose books you read this year for the first time.

Lots of them! This was the first year I participated in readathons and stuff so I got a lot of new recs from there. Anyway, some of them are- Shannon Messenger, Jessica Townsend, Phil Hickes, Jamie Littler, Cassandra Clare etc etc.

Ashmita’s Questions

1. What do you hate/love about Christmas?

Ehh…I love listening to ‘Wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year’. And most christmasses are spent at my grandparents’ place in Kolkata with my cousins and we have a lot of fun.

2. Which song are you currently listening to on repeat?

Oh, lots! Yesterday I heard ‘Waving Flag’ and am obsessed with it. And I also listen to ‘Up & Up’ on repeat.

3. Just one quote.

Alright, let me tell you that I LOVE book quotes, but I don’t often end up forgetting them by the time I reach the end of the page 😅. So I am going to tell you a quote I saw a couple days ago on the internet, and I remember (thankfully!)

“Worrying is pointless. It is like holding an umbrella, and waiting for it to rain.”

4. Whisper/secret/cloud. first thing that comes to your mind on hearing these words.

Whisper, I think of somebody leaning to whisper in somebody else’s ear

Secret, and I think of Hush!

Cloud, I think of it like a extra-fluffy pillow.

5. Favourite avenger (marvel) character.

Sorry (don’t hate me please!) but I don’t watch Avengers. Never have 🤷‍♀️

My Questions
  • Which book do you wish had a sequel?
  • Would you rather re-write the beginning of your favourite book, or the end?
  • Are you a fast or a slow reader?
  • What was the last book you read that you didn’t like at all?
  • Share a snippet from page 69 of your current read.

Tiction’s Questions

Pretty much all countries, since I have never been outside my own 😅 But I have always wanted to visit Spain, Spanish is my dream language!

2. Tea or Coffee?

None. I don’t drink beverages. Only milk.

3. Share a favourite quote!

As I mentioned before, I really appreciate and love reading quotes in books, but hardly remember any. So I googled some of Jupiter’s dialogues from the Nevermoor series (of course they are quote-worthy!), and came across this –

“Death is boring. Life is much more fun. Things happen in life all the time. Unexpected things. Things you couldn’t possibly expect because they’re so very… unexpected.”

I remember reading this line and immediately starting to adore Jupiter

4. If you could master one language, what would it be?

As I said before, Spanish!

5. What’s your book of the month?

Umm *racks brain and then checks Kindle library to see what she has read this month* Hollowpox! I didn’t have much of a choice actually, I have read only three books in December so far😀

6. Would you rather read just one perfect, no-fault, long, long book in your life or read unlimited standalones with cliffhangers at the end?

No preference.

7. Tell us a Dad Joke.

What did the Baby Corn say to the Mama Corn? Where’s PopCorn?!

Hah. Definitely groan-worthy, right?

My Questions
  1. Share the first line of your current read.
  2. Have you ever belonged to a book club?
  3. Have you ever buddy-read a book?
  4. What is the funniest book you’ve ever read?
  5. What attracts you to a book? The cover? Blurb? Recommendation from others?

  7. Has a book ever made you laugh out loud?
