Now I really can’t believe it! In two months (or so) I went from being an anti-social nobody, to being nominated for superb awards like these! Thank you so much to everyone who had nominated me for the previous awards I have done, and of course, thank you Lilly @Lilly’s Little Library for nominating me for this award.
And I have some wonderful news to share. My blog crossed the 200 likes mark a couple days ago! Once again, this would not have been possible without the support of you all, so thank you once again.
All right, let’s get back here *cracks knuckles* and let’s start!

If you could live anywhere in OUR world, where would you live?
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I am not much of a travel freak. So I don’t really have one of those ‘dream cities’ like most people do. So I won’t be naming a place, instead let’s just go with 1. A bungalow 2. With enough space for all the pets I’ll have then 3. With a huuuuge library 4. by the side of a forest
Huh. That does tell you a lot about me, doesn’t it 😂
What’s your favorite food?
Okaaay. So I am not much of a foodie either. In fact, I am a really fussy eater. I guess I’ll go with the universal favourite – chocolate. To be specific, dark chocolate. After all, who in this world doesn’t love chocolate?
If you could choose to be any magical creature for the rest of your life, what would you be?
Maybe an alicorn (from KOTLC) or a niffler (from Fantastic Beasts)
Would you rather live 100 years in the past or 100 years in the future?
In the future! I have read so much about the past in history, and tbh, all those things are better in a textbook, not in real life. I don’t think I would be able to survive without the Internet. So thanks, but I’d go into the future. Think about what all would have been invented by that time!!
What character’s life would you most like to live?
This one’s difficult. The only one I can think of is Morrigan from the Nevermoor series because 1. I am currently obsessed with that series 2. I would love any reason to know the marvellous Jupiter!
On second thought though, I think Jack from the same series will be fine too. Both the above reasons apply for him too(he is Jupiter’s nephew) and on top of that I won’t have to be ‘cursed’ like Morrigan is!
What battery percentage is your device on right now?
If you could only have one hobby from here on out (besides reading of course, how could anyone live without reading?) what would it be?
Playing the guitar. I think it is really cool, when you can just walk up to someone and say, “I play the guitar”, you know? And I used to play the guitar till last year, but then my sir had to get married and he moved to somewhere else. Since then, I barely practiced what I learnt, and my guitar is gathering dust on the top of some cupboard now.
What is your current favorite song?
I have quite a few current favs. One would be Up & Up, because oh my gosh, the lyrics are just so wonderful and inspiring! Then Memories by Maroon 5, ’cause I really like the tune and the singer’s voice. Next would be The Spectre, the tune is just so addictive and I drove my mother mad by humming it the entire week when I first heard it. You know what, I’ll just put these songs below so you can listen to them right now.
If you could change your first name right now, what would you choose?
First of all, I love my name. Though Rachel is a very common name in Western countries, it is very rare where I live, in India. And having an uncommon name does have its advantages (it has disadvantages too, of course).
If I had to change my name, it would probably be something like Michelle, or Rachelle, ’cause I like that ‘chelle’ part which is pronounced like ‘sher’.
What book got you into reading?
I remember, when I was 3 or 4, my mother used to read me out a story from a comic book everyday. The same story, everyday, for I think about a month or so. To be specific, the comic was Tinkle, and the story was a Suppandi one, I don’t remember the name exactly. So yeah, she read it out to me everyday, to the point when I had it learned by heart. Then there was another book, “Grandpa’s Tales”or something like that, and that was the first book I read all by myself. These books were what got me into reading from a very young age.
What’s your favorite book?
This I just CANNOT answer! Instead, I will bend the question a little bit and tell you about some of my recent favorites.
The Keeper of Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger
Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

- Which Hogwarts house do you think the Sorting Hat will put you into?
- A series you wish you’d never read?
- If you were to have a familiar (which is kinda like a pet) with your personality and attitude, which creature do you think you’d get?
- First line of your current read?
- A childhood memory you’re fond of?
- If a Boggart came in front of you, what form would it take? (in other words, your worst fear)
- Reading during day or at night?
- Where would you rather live – in the sky or under the sea?
- Which is your favourite month?
- What is the thing you cannot live without? (nah, this is not a trick question, so don’t say food, water or air)
- If you were to design a city, what all would it have?
That was amazing to do! Thank you once again Lilly for your wonderful questions.
